Call of Duty : Black Ops Review

Call of duty Black Ops is of the best games out there that will certainly keep you entertained at home. It is the best selling game for the Xbox and PS3 consoles.

Black Ops is the seventh installment in the Call of Duty franchise but is only the third game to be developed by Treyarch. Black Ops is the first in the series on the Cold War but is the sequel to the Call of Duty: World at War game.

One of the most popular games recently released is Call of Duty: Black Ops for Xbox and PS3 gambling consoles. This game has been a massive hit ever since it was out in the market on November 9, 2010. It is a first-person shooter game that was developed by Treyarch and published by Activision.

Call of Duty: Black Ops allows a player to assume the role of a soldier with access to various firearms (at most seven can be carried at anytime), use lots of explosives including grenades, and use various weapons. The game closely resembles an adrenaline-rush battlefield and employs a kill or be killed strategy. A player may even select to kill an enemy using a knife with blow.

It's accumulated over $1 Billion in sales in the first seven weeks on release. It's broken records set by its predecessor Modern Warfare by at least seven.5 million copies. Its popularity keeps on growing all over the world. In Japan, there were game releases with subtitles and dubbed versions one month after the game was released in to the market.

The player's health is indicated on the screen which will turn red to show extensive damage. of the thrilling features of this game is that when a grenade is thrown, a marker that indicates the grenade's direction will appear which can help the player either run away or throw back the grenade as long as the player is within the radius of the grenade's blast. Aside from guns and explosives, other weapons that can be used in the game are ballistic knives, crossbows with explosive ammunition and bolts, and Dragon's Breath rounds.
The game depicts a realistic take on how individuals who go in to battle. Players can basically be controlled to jump, run and walk. A player's posture may even be controlled. For example, a player can take in a standing, crouching, or prone stance. Each stance will affect the player's speed, stealth and accuracy. A player can run for a short time but will become worn out.

A player can assume the role of various in-game characters in the work of the single-player campaign with lots of point of view changing all throughout the game. The characters that can be played belong to the Special Forces group who are conducting black operations inside enemy territory.

Call of Duty: Black Ops features lots of scripted cinematic moments including a bullet time effect in the "Victor Charlie" stage which is activated when the player shoots toward the final member of a Viet Cong squadron.

The best features in Black Ops is that it can be used to play multiplayer online matches with other people from around the globe. Players are divided in to teams that have different missions. In Team Deathmatch, the objective is to have more kills than the other team while in Capture the Flag, the players require to take the other team's flag and bring it in to their base. There is also the "Free For All" setting where its every man for them self, players are not divided in to teams in this setting.

Black Ops already has 14 maps and additional downloadable maps. It still retains the unlockable reward system and experience points that have been with the franchise since the fourth game. It also has a "Zombie cooperation mode" which was originally included in the World at War game

Resident Evil 5 : Game for Zombie Killing Lover

Having never played an RE game before but had heard plenty of good things about it, I thought I would give RE5 a try. As a result I can't compare it to its predecessors, but after finishing the game I think that even as a standalone game it's pretty damn fun.

The main premise of the game seems to be 'shoot as many zombies as you can' and hope that your partner helps you out. Having Sheva around made things a lot less scary than if Chris had been alone, and it also opened up some co-operative gameplay. Luckily, the AI is excellent and Sheva is almost never in the way and usually does what you'd want her to do. On the other hand, anytime she does get in the way can prove to be fatal because not only does your own death warrant a game over, hers does too - therefore it is doubly important to watch out for her and make sure she stays alive.

I found that the item menu was probably the most annoying part of the game. Sometimes, after moving things around, the guns and herbs wouldn't be in the right places so I would have to bring up the item menu mid-fight and get shot at while trying to sort things out. Having 9 slots each also made things tougher, but it really enhanced the whole survival horror thing and made sure the player thought carefully about what and what not to take into a level.
In terms of actual gameplay, the game provides a plethora of enemy types to keep you entertained. A lot of them require different strategies and some are a 1HKO if they manage to get their hands/claws/chainsaws on you, which makes things a bit more interesting. The basic zombies, however, don't change much so they can get a bit boring after a while. There are several different terrains that you can explore (not in the true sense of the word, unfortunately - RE5 is very much a linear journey) and they are generally interesting and pleasing on the eyes. The boss fights are quite fun as well, as they are often large and require a bit of strategy to overcome. There are also treasures and BSAA symbols that you can find, to make sure that you explore your terrain to the max.
